about

Sounds like a name of a Detroit techno legend: Matt Flores. Talking about you know who: Detroit and what is happening in the atmosphere of a break beat of 130 bpm. Not only DE:BUG proposes to find a new name for the music that is evolving out of some Drum & Bass, 2-Step, House- and Minimal-Techno-experiences at the moment and who's evident protagonists are Matt Flores and Kabuki. The energy and bass lines of Drum & Bass, the soul of 2-Step and the chords and futuristic sounds from the minimal areas of the Detroit techno school is what is coming together here and we are amazed. We are getting somewhere here!

Matt Flores has published countless works of art during the past few years with a.o. Kontraband/UK (w. Zed Bias) Basswerk , Typhoon and Konter. As a member of the Gush Collective he was an activist, producer and MC as 2Smart. The new 12" with Combination continues the story of the magnificent Pursuit of Happiness from the compilation Traffic II. Three trax, all for the advanced floor: deep, fat and produced with rolling beats and on the dot: Arms up!
